Joe Ruder
VICE PRESIDENT U.S. OPERATIONS
Joe started his career in 1995 working as a project engineer at a facility to extract liquid hydrocarbons from coal (LFC). He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree with honors from the University of Wyoming.
Through his career Joe has held progressively responsible roles at production facilities in coal upgrading, power generation, chemical manufacturing and oil refining. He has considerable brownfield and greenfield project experience and held positions in design and facilities engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability, capital projects and management. Joe’s experience includes project management, project engineering, field engineering, construction management, PFD and P&ID development, electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering, process control, programming, fire rebuilds, equipment specification, AFE development and staged-gate capital project execution.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys fishing, golf, hiking and camping. He is also involved with coaching youth sports and volunteering at church events.
